Next steps…

If you are considering counselling or therapeutic arts, the next step will be to book a free phone consultation; you can do this from the main menu of this site. The phone consultation will give you the opportunity to discuss the process further and answer any questions you may have.

If you choose to proceed, we will set up an appointment to meet. The therapeutic space that I work from, is set in private woodland in Eason’s Green. It is a 10 minute drive from Uckfield and 15 minutes from Lewes by car. The room is private, quiet and very light. There is free parking and a waiting room with tea and coffee facilities.

The space is set up in a way that allows talking and reflection to take place comfortably. There are also tables for working at when undertaking a creative exercise.

There is no specific number of sessions that have to be booked, however a commitment to attend at  least 3 is recommended. This allows for familiarity to develop and adequate time to share your personal story which, depending on the individual, may take some time before you feel comfortable to do this.

We will meet weekly at an agreed time and if after the first 3 sessions you feel that the process is helpful for you, we will continue to meet. Then after about 6 sessions it will be up to you to decide to either continue to meet weekly, or only fortnightly or monthly.

Every person is different and while some feel that 6 sessions are enough, some may need to continue to meet for a much longer period. The issue or concern that you bring will also determine how frequently we meet and how long the process takes.

For people who feel that they will need 10 or more sessions I am able to offer a discounted rate. For details on prices please look at the information listed under prices & contacts on the main menu.

If you do not have access to transport, or have mobility issues, there is also the possibility of my coming to work with you in your home. We can discuss this during the phone consultation if necessary.
